But, one thing seems to be slipping out of our grasp ...our social awareness of possible destruction.
There is a huge divide. We hear about 'fair share' and 'equality', but we don't share the same definition, perspective, nor the same vision.
No person living today will still be alive to experience any possible devastating effects of any global warming. But, it is said this is all in the name of saving future generations. What indeed do we think of our future generations? We are at the brink of destroying our economy ...and our national debt could destroy our future generations, yet we somehow can't see it.
And some of the future generations don't even get a chance. We've moved from denying the life of the unborn, to not being outraged at the butchering and annihilation of those babies born alive.
In Russia, Joseph Stalin confiscated the ownership of land, forcing all farmers to grow crops for the government under their selected distribution and control. How were the very best farmers rewarded? They were killed.
They were killed because their ambition to do well was a threat to the government.
How can we not see the parallels? If not killing as in many histories of communist regimes, are there not other ways of killing? Are we not also killing the motivation and drive to excel? Are we not destroying the hope of a future built on truths and principles ...and the free will to embrace those things? Everything seems clearly moving towards government control ...if it could be said, everything is clearly moving into darkness. And in darkness, little is clear ...other than the clear fact that all is in darkness.
Global Warming is really an excuse for government regulations. It is like Chicken Little asking for government aid because the sky is falling. Green Energy, though it is good, is also a move to government control as we were told that prices would have to "necessarily skyrocket". Is it the rocket hitting the sky that will cause this Chicken Little panic? Or does that come about by raising the debt ceiling ...would that cause it to all come crashing down? If that would happen, we'd all need medical aid ...or National Health Care. I'm sure Adolph Hitler would have loved to have conceived this, much advanced from his cruel form of natural selection. And the Food Stamp program, though necessary to a degree, breeds government dependency.
With all this ...we rename the enemy, not as identified as those who allege war against us, but we war amongst ourselves. We nearly eliminate our only hope of survival by declaring those who seek sound solutions ...as the enemy.
And some would say we are the most advanced generation of people. Or should I say most would claim we've evolved to this advanced stage of blindness. Yes, it must be the evolved ability to be able to see with our eyes closed ...and our minds too.
